This is a low cost WiFi interface that is made in china.
We test all interfaces prior to shipping. We also verify that the bandwidth in close to the stated 12 samples/second
If you prefer a high quality, high bandwidth WiFi interfaces we recommend “OBDLink MX WiFi”. The bandwidth on this interface is stated to be 60 samples/second but this is not verified by Stannum Embedded yet. The price on eBay for OBDLink MX WiFi is $120 so it is a bit pricey.
If you are not using an apple product, the Bluetooth interface is a better choice from a performance point of view but also from an economic perspective. The Bluetooth interface offered in this web-shop has twice the bandwidth for the same price. But not that apple products (such as iPhone and iPad) does not support the used bluetooth protocol and does not support USB OTG.
